Call for Artist Submissions
Part of our vision here at the Thrasher-Horne Center is to be a hub of culture in Northeast Florida. We’re pleased to support that goal by inviting exhibition proposals from area professional artists. Our expansive facility hosts events of all kinds, from concerts and plays to corporate meetings and expos, with thousands of guests and visitors in attendance. This offers a unique opportunity to have your work viewed by very diverse audiences.
Visual artists are invited to send us their portfolio and a short bio to boxoffice@sjrstate.edu
About Our Art Gallery Space
The Thrasher-Horne Center is home to the Jack Mitchell and Lee Adams Galleries, which are free to public visitors and available for artist exhibition and event rental. The 1,217-square-foot Lee Adams gallery offers 125 linear feet of wall space and the Jack Mitchell gallery has 950 square feet with more than 106 linear feet of wall space. The Lee Adams gallery also includes moveable wall sections that allow flexible space setup.
Both art gallery spaces are equipped with audio connections and piped music available, plus overhead LED track lighting and recessed can lights, with additional lighting effects available in the Lee Adams gallery with advanced notice.
About The Thrasher-Horne Center
The center is located on the scenic grounds of the St. Johns River State College in Orange Park. It includes a 1,725-seat main stage and 6,200-square-foot conference center. Since its opening in 2004, the center has hosted hundreds of events, including Broadway musicals, nationally touring performers, and more.
